๐Hidden Gem in Dublin | Blessington
Last week, I took a break and visited Blessington. It was way beyond my expectations! I was completely blown away! ๐ ๐ It takes about an hour and a half by bus from Dublin. I started from UCD and took the S6 (towards the Square) to Tallaght Hospital. From there, I transferred to bus 65, which goes straight to Blessington. The ride is worth every euro! The 65 bus takes you up a mountainous road with stunning views, and you can see the entire town spread out below. For just 1 euro, itโs an absolute bargain! ๐ โ The lake water is crystal clear, and itโs also the source of the River Liffey! ๐ โ There are vast areas of pristine forest, with the freshest air you can imagine. ๐ฒ โ Along the way, I encountered lots of wildlife: cows, sheep, and even deer๐ฆ. They were all so adorable! ๐๐๐ฆ โ Itโs quiet and peaceful, with very few people around. Itโs perfect for hiking, daydreaming, or taking photos. Every shot is a keeper! ๐ธ I loved that Blessington hasnโt been commercialized at all. Itโs kept its pure, natural charm, making it an ideal place to unwind on a weekend. ๐ฟ ๐ Tips : Wear comfortable shoes and bring some water and snacks. ๐ธ Photo Spots : The lakeside meadows and forest trails are absolutely amazing for photos! ๐ธ #Dublin #AroundDublin #NatureLovers #HiddenGems #WeekendEscape
