Hiding My Favorite Summer Taco Spot in New York 🌮

Walking the streets of New York in the summer, you feel like melting after just a few steps. Your appetite wanes, and all you crave is something tangy and crunchy. An old classmate I hadn’t seen in eight years invited me to dinner. After some thought, I decided that nowhere was better than Tacombi. The vibe is truly amazing—a perfect blend of taco truck flavors and a cozy cantina atmosphere. 🌴 Sure enough, the slight awkwardness of not having seen each other in eight years quickly disappeared after a couple of spicy margaritas. 🔥 We should have ordered a pitcher of those spicy margaritas instead of just two glasses—they were that good. If it’s not spicy enough for you, just add a few (or many) drops of Tabasco. 💛 The fried fish taco is hands down the best of all! Wrapped with tangy pickled cabbage and a kick of onion, it’s the perfect bite when you squeeze lots and lots of lime over it. 🍋‍🟩 That combination of greasy, refreshing, and tangy-spicy is the ultimate summer formula, and it’s irreplaceable. There are two fish tacos; go for the crispy one!! I tried everything except pork, and the ranking for the tacos is fish > shrimp > steak > chicken. The service is super chill—they even comped us a taco when they got our order wrong. 🧡 You’ve got to try the Corn Esquites cup. Promise me you will… You can never go wrong with tacos in the summer. They even have a Taco Tuesday deal—buy one, get one free. Taco Tuesday! Or taco every day... I could seriously eat tacos every single day. 🌮 Tacombi #taco #NYCRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #LocalFavorites #NYCLife #NYCAffordableEats #FoodieDiary #FoodMap #TrendyRestaurantMap #CantinaMap
