Highly-Rated South of France Bakery on the Upper East Side 🌟
I had a craving for canelés, so I specifically chose this bakery—PATISSERIE Vanessa. Their signature is the canelé, and it's perfection! 🌺The caramelized shell on the outside and the bouncy rum-infused center blend together just right. It's not overly sweet at all. I bought one and immediately regretted not getting another! 🥧 The Charlotte Raspberry is very delicate, but the mousse and jam make it a bit too sweet for my taste. It pairs well with coffee, but I probably won't order it again next time. The Madeleine, which I had the least expectations for, turned out to be quite special. It has a unique flavor with a delightful orange blossom aroma that lingers. 🌺 🌟 The cold brew was surprisingly delicious! It has a rich, natural foam and flavor from the coffee beans, unlike some other places where the cold brew can be quite weak. 🌺If you love iced drinks in the summer, this is a must-try! The bakery is conveniently located near the Met, so it's perfect for a break after a long day at the museum. 🏛️ The ambiance is cozy. The bakery has two floors—about three or four tables downstairs, the same upstairs, and some outdoor seating. However, there's no shade in the summer. But on weekdays, it's not too crowded, and most of the visitors are local regulars. 🍃 🌟 Address: 1340 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10128 #Dessert #AfternoonTea 🍵🌟
