Hiking + Snorkeling + Sunrise & Sunset on Hamilton Island
June on Hamilton Island was absolutely perfect—warm sunshine, gentle breezes, and the most pleasant weather! 🌞🌴 This island is seriously steep—every outing feels like a workout! Luckily, I love hiking uphill, because renting a golf buggy would’ve cost $136 AUD per day… yikes! 😂 Over a few days, I tackled almost all the hiking trails, all rated "moderate" by the island. My favorite was South East Head—the views were straight out of a movie! 🎥 There’s a giant wooden chair at the top, and best of all—hardly any people! So peaceful and healing. 🪑🌿 Next up was Coral Cove, home to a huge swing that makes for the perfect Instagram shot! 📸 The beach here is also way nicer than Catseye Beach. For a quick chill session, Escape Beach has a massive hammock—ideal for a lazy break. 😌 The most famous hike is Passage Peak, with 360° ocean views, but lighting is everything! I went in the afternoon under cloudy skies and was a little disappointed—sunrise is the best time to go! 🌅 The biggest surprise? One Tree Hill! Stunning at both sunrise and sunset, with unbeatable panoramic views—you’d regret missing this one! 🌄 At Catseye Beach, I went snorkeling at low tide and swam with a gorgeous sea turtle! 🐢 And the best part? All of this was free! So worth it! I also joined Explore’s half-day tours to Whitehaven Beach and a snorkeling trip—both were fantastic! Check my profile for pics! 📷 Hamilton Island is definitely quite commercialized, so once is enough—but if you’ve never been, it’s 100% worth the trip! ✈️💙 #HamiltonIsland #AustraliaTravel #HiddenGems #SnorkelAndSunset #GreatBarrierReef #WhitehavenBeachGuide #HikingTrails #IslandGetaway #SeaTurtleEncounters
