🏡 Home Place Inn – Perfect Location, Delicious Breakfast

My husband and I just spent six wonderful nights at the Home Place Inn while exploring beautiful Prince Edward Island! The location is absolutely ideal — it’s within walking distance to downtown Kensington, and less than an hour's drive to Charlottetown, Summerside, the charming Anne of Green Gables sites 🍎, and so many stunning beaches 🏖️. The inn offers a variety of room styles. We stayed in the Stella Room — a cozy and thoughtfully arranged space. Our door opened into a small hallway: to the left was a spacious bathroom with a tub, shower, and two comfy robes 🛁🧖‍♀️, and to the right was our bedroom with a plush queen bed, a rocking chair, dresser, TV, microwave, and fridge 🛏️📺. While there’s no AC, a tower fan kept us cool even during an unusual heatwave — we slept comfortably every night! 😴❄️ The hosts, Andrew and Beth, are what truly make this place special. They’re warm, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. 💖 And let’s talk about breakfast — it’s included and absolutely delicious! 🍳🧇 We could choose from: Western omelettes Traditional eggs any style Bacon 🥓, sausages Toast, home fries 🥔 Pancakes, blueberry pancakes 🫐 French toast Oatmeal... and more! Since we stayed six nights, I tried almost everything — and Beth is an incredible cook! Everything was tasty, but my favorites were the fluffy blueberry pancakes, crispy bacon, and those perfectly seasoned home fries — I wish I knew her secret recipe! 👩‍🍳💫 This was our first trip to PEI and our first stay at Home Place Inn — and we really hope it won’t be our last! We’ve completely fallen in love with the island’s breathtaking scenery and its kind-hearted people. This inn truly felt like a second home.
