As someone who can’t handle "white people food" 😅, I fell in LOVE with Hawaiian cuisine! Oahu is pricey, but everything was worth it — almost no disappointments this trip! 1️⃣ Island Vintage Coffee A classic spot — lines for dine-in can be 30+ mins, but you can order online for pickup! ✅ Must-try: Açaí Bowl 🥣 Ube Bagel with taro cream (so fragrant!) 🥯💜 The tropical decor is so vibe-y 🌴 2️⃣ ALOHA TABLE Waikiki (Hawaiian Food) They claim to have the #1 Loco Moco 👑 — and the king portion is HUGE! 🤣 🍍 Pineapple Pina Colada: A whole pineapple slushie with a cute umbrella — Insta-worthy and refreshing! 3️⃣ Tonkatsu Tamafuji Super hard to book 💢 — but I snagged an 11 AM slot! 🐖 The tonkatsu is tender at first but gets heavy later. 🦪 MUST order the fried oysters — even better than the pork! Huge, crispy, and perfect. 4️⃣ ZIGU Izakaya (near Waikiki) 🍜 Soba, but the server-recommended steak and fried tuna were the real winners! 5️⃣ Marugame Udon Lines are crazy at night — go at noon! 🍜 Udon is made fresh daily — feels like a Japanese school cafeteria 😆 ✅ Curry Nikutama Udon: Sweetness balances the salty curry 🍛 🦑 Tempura is affordable — don’t miss the squid tempura! 6️⃣ North Shore Must-Eats 🍧 Matsumoto Shave Ice: Obama’s fave! Huge lines but worth it — only $3.50 for a small 🧊 🦐 Garlic Shrimp Truck: Closes at 5 PM — plan ahead!
