Honolulu, Hawaii Food Guide π Part 2
Continued from last post~ 8οΈβ£ Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar Craved ramen late at night π β ordered the top result on Uber Eats! Google rating: 4.7 π Tried the Spicy Red Miso Dragon β delicious flavor + thin noodles (my fave!) But portion was tiny π’ and the meat was paper-thin. 9οΈβ£ Shrimp Truck π€ Garlic shrimp β a Hawaiian classic! No need to hunt for a specific one. This one was from a random truck near Shark Cove β pretty good! Worth trying if you pass by one. π Tori Ton Not recommended π« Popular on xhs for yakitori, but every skewer was justβ¦ salty. No depth. Went at 9 PM β 80% of the menu was sold out (they close at 11). Confusing and disappointing. 1οΈβ£1οΈβ£ Aburiya Ibushi Recommended by Vicky & Dilun β saw they came twice! Generally delicious and fairly priced π° Skip the tofu (weird mix of Chinese minced meat + Japanese tofu β didnβt blend well) But the saury, beef tongue (β€οΈ), grilled beef, and oxtail soup were all amazing! Didnβt try the famous oxtail porridge β didnβt want more rice π 1οΈβ£2οΈβ£ Lawson at Sheraton Standard oden π’ β tastes exactly as expected. Good breakfast option if youβre staying there. Otherwise, not worth a special trip. 1οΈβ£3οΈβ£ Restaurant Suntory Good Japanese food β but nothing special for the price πΈ Limited creative dishes. The kama meshi (claypot rice) was decent (but seasonal β might not be available). Better for a fancy vibe π± 1οΈβ£4οΈβ£ Jollibee Classic fried chicken π β no explanation needed! Located in Ala Moana Center food court β a bit hard to find near one exit. Perfect after shopping! ποΈ 1οΈβ£5οΈβ£ Foodland Poke Tried king crab and wasabi poke π By the last day, I was so over poke π Just average β tastes the same as any other poke spot. #Hawaii #HawaiianFood #OahuEats #HonoluluEats #FoodGuide #TravelHawaii #Foodie
