Honolulu Food Guide ππ€
Hereβs a roundup of my food adventures in Honolulu β the good, the okay, and the βmehβ ππ β Island Vintage Coffee (Waikiki Main Branch) π Located on the 2nd floor of a plaza β you can watch performances below. Ordered: Acai Bowl + Dragon Fruit Smoothie π₯£πΉ Verdict: Acai Bowl was too sweet (lots of syrup + oats at the bottom). Not sure why itβs so hyped π€·ββοΈ. Atmosphere: Just okay β nothing special! π Yummy Huli Huli Chicken π Near Kualoa Ranch β perfect stop after touring! Whole grilled chicken π: Juicy and tender, but lightly spiced (great if you prefer mild flavors). Paired with local fizzy juice π§ β sweet but refreshing. Also sells pearl and shell crafts π. π Ubae Specializes in ube (purple sweet potato) desserts π Ube Cheesecake: Super creamy, soft, and delicious! First bite = mind-blowing ππ° Also offers cookies, cakes, and various sizes. π Adela Country Eatery Famous spot β tried their ube noodles + pork knuckle + ube cheesecake. Noodles & pork: Oily and underwhelming π¬β¦ Ube noodles turned dark after cooking + no ube flavor. Cheesecake: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thick, traditional style β totally different from Ubae but equally good π π§ Matsumoto Shaved Ice (North Shore) The only place we waited in a long line for! Sizes: Small or large πΆ Not artificial syrups β real fruit juices! ππ Must-try: Matcha Red Bean Ice ππ§ π Poke for the People Specialty: Poke bowls! Ordered: Spicy Tuna + Tofu π₯’ Verdict: Fresh and delicious β highly recommend! π Food Market Many people recommended this, butβ¦ meh. Tried juice, sausage, mochi, papaya β expensive and average-tasting. Not worth the hype π ββοΈ π Ramen Nakamura Tasty ramen π β but portions are small! Normal appetite might need a side dish to feel full. #HonoluluEats #OahuFood #HawaiianFood #TravelFoodie #UbeDesserts π½οΈπ΄
