Honolulu Food Review [Part 1] πΊ
Hereβs the first part of my food journey in Honolulu β tried the hyped, the hidden, and the heavenly! π Island Vintage Wine Bar πππππ Our first stop did NOT disappoint! No wait at lunch π, huge portions, every dish was a win. β Must-order: Ube Bagel: Perfectly sweet, soft, and fragrant β taro lovers will cry ππ Garlic Ahi: Shockingly flavorful cooked tuna! Served with papaya salad β refreshing and balanced π₯π π WaiβOlu Ocean Cuisine πππβ¨ Great ambiance with a city view from the balcony β perfect for dates or night views π Food was good but not mind-blowing. Cocktails were too strong πΈπ β Still decent: Grilled Atlantic Lobster Tails: Fresh but forgettable Seared Hokkaido Scallops: Tender and flavorful with black rice and sauce π π Kamukura Ramen π We skipped the long line at Marugame Udon and ended up hereβ¦ Big mistake π£ Salty broth, fatty pork, dry chicken β run away!! πβοΈπ¨ π Marugame Udon ππππ Came back at noon and finally got in! Worth the hype β their tempura is even better than the udon?! β Must-order: Crab Meat Tempura: BEST. TEMPURA. EVER. π¦β¨ Huge, crispy, insane flavor Nikutama Udon: Fresh noodles, great texture β broth is a tad sweet though π π Polynesian Center Getaway Buffet πππππ Endless choices! Fresh tuna sashimi, steak, poke, giant shrimp β I couldnβt stop eating π€π₯© But the real stars were: Lychee: Juicy and sweet β so refreshing! Purple Sweet Potato: Creamy and deliciousβ¦ but so filling! π‘ Pro tip: Donβt fill up on lychee and taro first β I was too full for everything else π Save this list and stay tuned for Part 2! π½οΈπ #OahuEats #HonoluluFood #HawaiianFood #FoodReview #IslandVintage #UbeLover #TravelHawaii
