Hot Spring Experience in Iceland

1️⃣ Blue Lagoon 🌟🌟 💰 Approx. 800 per person Who visits Iceland without trying this place? My partner had been here 10 years ago—it’s a super old-school网红 spot. But honestly, I couldn’t compete with the crowds of foreigners… It was packed! The only upside was getting to use their mud mask three times, but even that involved waiting in line—for the mask, for washing your face… And as you can see in the pics, the water was kinda murky. 😂 2️⃣ Silica Hotel (Private Blue Lagoon) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 💰 5000 per night (hotel stay) This is the hotel affiliated with the Blue Lagoon. Guests have access to their own smaller, private lagoon. With only 30+ rooms, it feels like you’ve booked the whole place! Staying overnight means unlimited dips, and with so few people, it’s basically a private hot spring. The water is crystal clear—just compare pics 6 & 7 with 3 & 4 to see the difference in quality. A 💯 life experience! 3️⃣ Mývatn Nature Baths 🌟🌟🌟 💰 Approx. 235 per person Many call this the "budget alternative" to the Blue Lagoon because of the similar blue water. But I think it’s totally different! The water here was the silkiest of all—my skin felt incredibly soft afterward. That said, the changing rooms were pretty run-down… 4️⃣ Forest Lagoon 🌟🌟🌟🌟 💰 Approx. 300 per person Hardly any Asian visitors here—mostly Europeans drinking and chatting. The vibe was great, with little illuminated stone tables everywhere. The drinks looked amazing! It’s only a 10-minute drive 🚗 from Akureyri, Iceland’s second-largest city. The water had a slightly transparent green tint, almost like an infinity pool with views of the town. The only downside? The shower facilities 🚰 were a nightmare to use. 5️⃣ Hotel Jökulsárlón (Mountain View Hot Spring) 🌟🌟🌟🌟 💰 2000 per night (hotel stay) Soaking in a hot spring while gazing at snow-capped mountains 🏔️—pure bliss! Plus, there’s a huge sauna right next to the pool, and the whole place is modern and well-maintained. And here’s the kicker: we saw the Northern Lights while bathing. The feeling of watching the auroras while soaking in hot springs ♨️… unbelievable. #Forest Lagoon#Blue Lagoon#Silica Hotel#Mývatn Nature Baths #Hot Spring #Iceland#travel guide#Iceland hotel
