๐ŸŒ„ How can you visit Japan without going to Aomori? ๐ŸŒ„

Let's talk about the itinerary. Day 1๏ธโƒฃ Tokyo ๐Ÿ”œ Shin-Aomori. The Shinkansen takes about 3 and a half hours. Arrive in the afternoon, just in time to visit the Aomori Prefectural Museum of Art and check out Yoshitomo Nara's giant Aomori dog. โš ๏ธ If your first stop is the Prefectural Museum of Art, make sure to choose "Shin-Aomori" and not "Aomori" as your final destination on the Shinkansen. Don't buy the wrong ticket ๐Ÿ™…. Also, buy tickets a day or two in advance during holidays, otherwise, you might only get a standing ticket or no seat at all. ๐Ÿฑ Back in the somewhat old city center, there aren't many options for accommodation and dining, but we unexpectedly found a retro-style restaurant โ€“ "Aomori Dining Hall" which was quite good. ๐Ÿจ Daiwa Roynet Hotel Aomori A decent chain business hotel, not large but quite new, located not far from the city center and restaurants. The best part is the breakfast, which is very ๐Ÿ‰‘! The restaurant is stunning, with a retro, cute, and fresh vibe. Day 2๏ธโƒฃ Hirosaki Renga Warehouse Museum ๐Ÿ”œ Fujita Memorial Garden ๐Ÿ”œ Hirosaki Park The museum is stunning, and Hirosaki Park is a popular spot for viewing autumn leaves or cherry blossoms in spring. But! The Fujita Memorial Garden is just ordinary, not worth the visit. ๐Ÿ‘˜ That night, we stayed at Kai Tsugaru. The higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment, for details, see the previous posts. Day 3๏ธโƒฃ Jลgakudล Bridge ๐Ÿ”œ Tลnuma ๐Ÿ”œ Hoshino Oirase Keiryลซ Hotel This bridge is very beautiful when viewed by drone, offering a panoramic view of the mountains covered in autumn leaves. The trip from Tลnuma to Oirase River is quite far, about two hours of driving, but this journey was surprisingly healing. The scenery along the way is magnificent, with thousands of birch trees reaching for the sky, various shrubs scattered among them, fields of Miscanthus sinensis, and sunlight everywhere. It's the autumn color of the north, with a quiet and tranquil mood, a rare vastness in Japanese landscapes. Day 4๏ธโƒฃ Towada Lake ๐Ÿ”œ Towada Art Museum ๐Ÿ”œ Tokyo Avoid visiting the art museum on Mondays, don't ask me why, it's the most painful lesson from this trip ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ. I knew that most art museums are closed on Mondays but somehow forgot. Fortunately, the extra time was spent walking along the Oirase River, which was also worthwhile.
