How to Order the Perfect Salad at Sweet Green

As a seven-year veteran fan of Sweet Green, moving to Dallas was made so much better knowing I could get my Sweet Green fix again! In the two months since I moved, I’ve probably had over 20 Sweet Green meals—no joke! 😂 Recently, I’ve seen a lot of jokes online about salads being “white people food” that’s hard to stomach. But as someone with a quintessential Asian palate who can’t enjoy any other salad outside of Sweet Green, how do I order a salad that suits my taste buds? Here’s my go-to combo that I’ve stuck with for seven years: 1️⃣ Base: Two scoops of warm wild rice and just a little bit of romaine lettuce (just a light pinch, about 10-20 leaves). Any more than that and it starts to feel like a typical “white people salad.” 2️⃣ Toppings: You can customize these based on your preferences. I usually go for broccoli, sweet potato, cucumber, and sometimes I’ll add cherry tomatoes or chickpeas. 3️⃣ Premium Add-ons: Avocado, egg, roasted chicken, and sometimes I’ll add blue cheese or goat cheese. Sweet Green used to offer falafel as a premium option, and it’s a rare find now, but if you see it, definitely get it! It can replace the chicken, and their falafel is truly exceptional. 4️⃣ Finishing Touch: Sprinkle a little bit of parmesan crisp on top. Once it softens, it’s absolutely delicious when dipped in the salad dressing. #NorthAmericanLife #Dallas #NewYork
