I’m totally in love with São Paulo’s zoo🐒

After having a leisurely breakfast in the morning, I took a taxi straight to Animália Park~ It’s about an hour’s drive from the city center. I didn’t have high expectations at first, but I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I arrived—this zoo is absolutely amazing❗️ The whole park is huge and super pleasant to walk around in~ The ticket is 150 reais, which is a great deal—it actually includes access to both the zoo and the amusement park! I didn’t go to the amusement park, but I still spent a full three hours wandering around the zoo. If you come with kids, you could probably stay all day~ There are so many types of animals too! There are local Brazilian critters, like the chubby anteaters and brightly colored macaws, as well as African giraffes and Australian kangaroos. I kept walking and looking around, my eyes were so busy—I wanted to stop and stare at every single one😆 I chose this big banyan tree BBQ restaurant for the final dinner, and the environment is amazing! A century-old tree grows right through the roof, with its branches spreading overhead—eating BBQ under the tree is somehow romantic. The dishes are exquisite, and no one rushes you to finish; even the air feels slow and relaxed #BrazilBackpacking #SouthAmericaTravelInspiration
