I’ve discovered a hidden gem restaurant in London!
I found this Burmese tavern near Covent Garden on the weekend. It was my first time trying Burmese cuisine, and it was surprisingly delicious! Here’s a dish recommendation for my fellow Londoners. 😊 For the appetizer, I blindly picked the tofu puffs, which turned out to be the best. They are crispy fried snacks, perfect for a little bite to start! Now, for the mains: 🥥 Coconut noodles with chicken This is a curry with a rich coconut milk-based broth, loaded with super tender chicken leg meat. One bite and you’re transported back to Southeast Asia. 🐟 Hake masala We were deciding between this and a whole fried fish, and we definitely made the right choice! The sauce is thick and rich, with a full masala flavor paired with the super fresh and tender fish. The surprise was the crispy fried potato cake at the bottom! So crunchy and delightful. 🍖 Braised Mutton Curry The mutton was so tender it fell apart with a touch. It’s no exaggeration! For this dish, we ended up ordering extra rice even though we were already full, haha. 😂 #UK #LondonFoodExploration #LondonBurmeseCuisine #HiddenGemRestaurant #CoventGarden
