I'd Move to Charleston Just to Eat Here! 🍗🍩
While downtown, we noticed a long line outside Miller’s Department Store and got curious. But instead, we headed to their new location in a charming retro art deco shopping center on James Island—and arrived just in time! 🏢⏳ The menu is wonderfully original, and the food is absolutely incredible! I tried the honey-fried chicken sandwich served on their house-made donut—yes, you read that right, the bun is a sugared donut! 🍯🍩 Then I ordered the cheese grits, which were honestly the best I’ve ever had: stone-ground, with sharp cheddar melted throughout. The chicken was spicy, tender, and juicy, with just the right amount of honey. The donut was fresh, soft, and not overly sweet. 👌🧀 My friend had the grits with gravy, eggs, and perfectly roasted potatoes. If I lived here, I’d be fighting the crowd every day for a seat at the table or the U-shaped bar! 😄🍽️ They also have a few tables on a small entrance patio—cozy and inviting. #MoveForFood #HoneyFriedChicken #DonutSandwich #BestGritsEver #JamesIslandEats #RetroVibes #MustTry
