I've Developed a Fondness for the Flatbread

I always had a lukewarm feeling towards Indian cuisine, so I hadn't tried it out. However, passing by this restaurant in Chinatown every time and seeing it packed with people, I decided to give it a brave shot. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was a bit apprehensive and immediately checked its Google rating. Seeing a 4.8 score, I figured it couldn't be too bad. Reading recommendations for butter chicken curry and more, we followed the suggestions and ordered Butter Chicken Curry, Gosht Do Pyaza, Garlic Cheese Chilly Naan, Mixed Vegetable Fried Rice, and Jhinga Pakora. 🍽️🌟Let me give you a brief rundown of each dish: Chicken Madras Curry is a type of butter chicken curry. The Madras sauce likely involves special spices; it's a bit spicy with flavors of ginger, onions, black pepper, and more. It's quite complex (there are many options for butter chicken curry, including sweet, spicy, and minty ones). Gosht Do Pyaza features lamb with onions and special spices, mildly spicy, with no gamey taste. 🍽️🌟Garlic Cheese Chilly Naan is the flatbread with garlic and cheese!! Highly recommended – it's incredibly delicious. A single serving is two pieces for 3.5€, and we enjoyed it so much that we ordered two more servings! It's super fragrant, somewhat like a softer version of a Chinese baked pancake! Cool and awesome! Jhinga Pakora is described as fried shrimp with chickpea flour – I didn't really taste the chickpeas, just saltiness. In summary: the food takes a bit longer to arrive, and they serve a small appetizer... Overall, it's quite good. I'd recommend ordering curry-like dishes to go with the bread. #Florence #IndianCuisine #Italy #HiddenGemRestaurant
