I ate a huge lobster in Venice! 🦞

We picked this restaurant totally last-minute because it was close to our Airbnb, but it turned out to be an amazing surprise! The food was solidly delicious—no gimmicks, just pure yumminess 🥹 Highly recommended dishes ⬇️ p1 Tagliolini al astice (Lobster Tagliolini) €30 A whole lobster split in half, with meat that’s springy and firm. The sauce is reduced to perfection, clinging to every strand of tagliolini with a fresh, umami flavor. The seasoning is subtle enough to let the lobster shine, and the portion is massive—perfect for sharing! p2 Cozze Vongole (Mussels & Clams) €18 Served in a rich tomato-based red sauce, but the star is the natural sweetness of the shellfish! The mussels are huge, clean, and incredibly fresh. The broth is so fragrant you’ll want to drink it straight from the bowl 🍅 p3 Tagliata Manzo (Sliced Beef) €25 Cooked medium-rare to perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The slices are tender without any blood, paired with grated Parmesan cheese. Each bite is a satisfying mix of chewy texture and rich flavor—total mouthfeel perfection 🧀 Other dishes worth trying 😌 The fried squid and seafood platter isn’t greasy at all—the batter is light and crispy, such a pleasant surprise! The tiramisu melts in your mouth, dense and rich, the perfect sweet ending to the meal 👏 Tucked away in a quiet alley, the decor is quintessentially Italian (think rustic charm and checkered tablecloths). Definitely add this to your must-visit list! 📝 Taverna Barababo 📍 Sestiere Cannaregio, 4371, 30121 Venezia VE #Foodie #LobsterLove #ItalianCuisine #VeniceEats #VeniceRestaurantRecs #ItalianFood 🍝
