I Can’t Stop Eating in Vienna!

Near the Belvedere Palace, there’s a brewery restaurant called Salm Bräu that I visited twice! On a weekday at noon, you can walk in and get a table. Dining outdoors is very comfortable. After our meal, we even booked a table for dinner the next day. The average cost per person, including drinks, is around 25 euros. The waitstaff will suggest a 10% tip.🫕 Pork Knuckle: This is the best one I’ve had on my trip through Germany and Austria. It’s even better than what I’ve had in Germany. The crispy skin is easy to bite into and tastes amazing with a bit of sugar (ask the waiter for some). The meat inside is tender, flavorful, and not dry at all. If you can’t finish a whole one, you can order half. The sauerkraut and mashed potatoes that come with it are also pretty good, but I didn’t like the bread dumplings. Spare Ribs (Signature Dish): If you’re not a big eater, one portion is enough for two people. The seasoning is decent, and it comes with a few sauces and fries. The edges are a bit dry, but overall, it’s pretty good by European standards, though it doesn’t quite match the average level I’ve had in Bali.😋 Sausages:🍲 Skip these. They’re nothing special and not worth taking up space in your stomach. Beer: Since this is a brewery-turned-restaurant, the beer is, of course, excellent. If you’re with more than one person, I wouldn’t recommend the sampler pack with five different beers. It’s better value to order them individually. The sweet beer, Rader, is also very refreshing and tasty. 📍Restaurant: Salm Bräu📲 Address: Rennweg 8, 1030 Wien, Austria #ViennaTravel #AustrianCuisine
