Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

I searched all over Porto for delicious food! 🍽️✨

I stayed in Porto for half a month and tried almost all the locally renowned restaurants. Most of the hyped-up spots were good, but many lesser-known, non-viral eateries were also incredibly tasty! 🤩 Ostras & Coisas 🦞🐚 A famous local seafood restaurant where everything is excellently prepared. After my first visit, I immediately booked my next meal there. 🏃‍♀️💨 The Razor Clam was unanimously our favorite! 👑 The Hot Mix seafood platter featured various shrimp, including a huge lobster—all super fresh! 🦐🔥 The seafood rice was decent, though I wouldn’t call it the best in Porto. 🤷‍♀️ Taberna dos Fernandes 🍷 A tiny traditional tavern that doesn’t take reservations but is totally worth the wait! ⏳❤️ We ate there twice. Arriving at 12:15 for lunch or 6:30 for dinner guarantees you’ll get seated right when they open—any later, and you’ll have to wait for the second round, which is a pain. 😅 Their seafood rice is incredibly flavorful, packed with seafood and huge in portion—just one order is enough to fill two people! 🥘🤯 The grilled octopus is also tender and delicious, with a single serving including four legs. The double portion comes on a massive plate—quite a sight! 🐙👀 Adega Dona Antónia 🏡🍽️ Another traditional family-style restaurant near the riverfront. It felt like eating in their kitchen! 👩‍🍳😂 We walked in without a reservation and ordered two different octopus dishes—one fried with octopus rice, a unique dish we hadn’t seen elsewhere. 🍚🐙 The grilled octopus was good, though I still prefer Fernandes’. The portions were enormous; two dishes were way too much for two people, so we ended up taking leftovers home! 🍱🚶‍♀️ Balcalhau 🐟🧂 A specialty restaurant for salted cod, a local staple. The starters—shrimp and octopus salad—were amazing! 🥗🤤 The steak wasn’t as good as Wine Club’s but still decent. The codfish head (actually the neck meat) was gigantic and pure meat—not what we expected at all! 😳 Honestly, salted cod isn’t really my thing, but the version stewed with shrimp was the tastiest. 🍤❤️ WINE CLUB RESTAURANTE 🍷🥩 A niche wine bar with unexpectedly great food! Their Filet Mignon steak might be the best I’ve ever had! 🥩💯 We also tried a traditional salted cod with potatoes, which was pretty good. If you can’t book other popular spots, this is a solid alternative. 👍 #HiddenGems #GlobalEats #ExoticCuisine #Porto #Portugal #EuropeTravel
