I Travelled Across the Entire City Just to Eat at here!!
I heard that people were lining up for hours when it first opened 🕒. Today, I was around Brick Lane and finally got to try it—and it was an amazing surprise! The food absolutely blew me away 🥹. 🍛 Char Siu Rice with Fried Egg Steamed rice topped with glossy, fatty char siu and rich savoury sauce, plus a perfectly runny fried egg 🍳. Mixing the egg yolk and sweet-sticky char siu sauce into the rice… each mouthful is pure comfort! 😍 Heads-up: the char siu is cut quite thick and has a good amount of fat—some bits were a little chewy, but still full of flavour! 🫕 Swiss Wing Lou Mein with Egg OMG, this was my first time trying this dish—and it did not disappoint! The noodles (similar to instant noodles in texture) are stir-fried in fragrant scallion oil 🍜, and the chicken wings are cooked in a sweet soy glaze. Surprisingly delicious—I’m obsessed! 🥹 In summary: So. Good. So so so good. I was literally saying between bites that I’m definitely coming back! I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu—especially the drinks 😉. Brick Lane has so many cool spots to explore 🎨🛍️, and after a day of wandering, treating yourself to a big bowl of carbs here is the perfect way to end the day.
