I was indulging in a pork knuckle on the streets of Brussels

9 et Voisins 📍: Rue Van Artevelde 1, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium The restaurant is located at a fork in the road near the city center's Saint Catherine's Church, making it very easy to find. During meal times, the restaurant is packed with people, and the tables are placed quite close together. However, the waitstaff are quite responsive. We ordered the recommended pork knuckle and steak, both of which were delicious and didn't disappoint! 😋😋 Jambonneau Moutarde à l’Ancienne avec Pommes de Terre et Salade (Pork Knuckle) The pork knuckle was skinless and had very tender meat. Paired with mustard sauce, it tasted great. The accompanying side dishes included potatoes🥔 and salad🥗, and the portions were very generous! Onglet de Veau avec Salade et Pommes de Terre (Veal Steak) The waiter recommended this roast veal steak. The meat was not greasy but very chewable and full of flavor. When paired with gravy, the taste became even more delicious. The potatoes were soft, and after finishing the whole dish, you wouldn't feel greasy or overwhelmed but rather satisfied! How could one enjoy meat without a beer🍺? We ordered two draft beers recommended by the waiter. They were not very bitter and were particularly refreshing and palate-cleansing, making them a great match for meat dishes. After the satisfying meal, we left the restaurant and walked for two minutes towards the southwest corner. There, we could see the statue of the peeing dog, Het Zinneke🐕, as well as several vintage and clothing stores.
