I would be heartbroken if anyone missed this museum!
I'm not usually a fan of visiting museums, but this one completely shattered my preconceptions. It's just too enjoyable!!! There are only two floors, but we spent three hours and still didn't finish exploring. Let's not even mention the most famous painting, "The Scream." There's a security guard next to the painting, but you can get very close to admire and take photos! The museum has a very rich collection, including paintings, sculptures, objects, and art installations... I personally prefer the art installations, which feel like a mini Pompidou! Friends interested in modern art will definitely be ecstatic! In addition, it's designed with many interactive parts to prevent the visit from being boring. For example, in the sculpture area, they provide drawing boards and pencils for you to freely copy the exhibit sculptures. Even if you have no drawing foundation, you can boldly give it a try! After all, it's about experiencing the process of creation. Next to the rest seats in each exhibition hall, there are also some small game counters designed, with puzzles, perfume bottles, picture frames... Although they seem to be for children, they are clearly more suitable for college student babies. I highly recommend all friends coming to Oslo to include this museum in their itinerary! It's really worth it, and I suggest allocating a morning or afternoon for the visit. 💌Tips: Remember to buy tickets in advance and check the closing time. On the -1 level, you can store luggage and clothes for free. #Norway #Oslo #Museum #Europe #MustVisitMuseum
