Ichijo Ekan Sanso ๐น Hidden Courtyard Teahouse for Hydrangea Viewing
Kamakura | Ichijo Ekan Sanso ๐น Hidden Courtyard Teahouse for Hydrangea Viewing ๐ฟ ๐ฟ๐Even though the hydrangea season in Kamakura is almost over,I still want to share a little-known spot for flower viewing with everyone! You can save this for next year's visit too. Ichijo Ekan Sanso ๐ฟ๐A nationally designated important cultural property, just a 10-minute drive from Kamakura Station. This place is only open during the hydrangea and autumn leaf seasons. It's quite obscure among foreign tourists but very popular with locals. ๐ฟ๐The garden is not very large, but it's beautifully landscaped with many picturesque spots. Every corner has its own charm, and there are plenty of photo opportunities. You can easily take stunning photos anywhere in the garden. ๐ฟ๐The teahouse inside is a Kamakura annex of the "Kyoto Nio-mon." It serves traditional Japanese sweets with matcha or hojicha (roasted tea). ๐ฟ๐The treats are not only photogenic but also incredibly delicious! Enjoying tea and snacks while admiring the flowers in the garden is truly delightful. There's no advance reservation; you need to line up on-site. ๐ฟ๐After writing your name on the waiting list, you can wander and take photos in the garden. I think it's definitely worth the wait! Opening Hours: 10:00โ15:30 ๐ฟ๐ Address: 5-1-10 Jomyoji, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture #LifeInJapan #JapanTravel #JapaneseGarden ๐ฟ๐
