Iconic Waikīkī 🌺

We absolutely loved our week at The Royal Hawaiian! When I go to Hawaiʻi, I want the beach 🏖️. When I go to Hawaiʻi, I want lush tropical surroundings 🌴. When I go to Hawaiʻi, I want to relax 😌. Nestled in one of Honolulu’s busiest and most vibrant areas, The Royal Hawaiian gave me everything I needed for the perfect Hawaiian getaway. Though shops and restaurants were just steps away, the noise and crowds melted away as soon as we stepped onto the hotel grounds. We never waited for an elevator 🛗, never had to drive somewhere to eat or be entertained, and never had to fight through crowds to reach the beach. The staff were wonderful. The pink wristbands clearly marked us as hotel guests and always made us feel appreciated 🤗. The drinks at the Mai Tai Bar were strong 🍹, and the bread pudding French toast at the Surf Lanai was absolutely delicious! 🍞 I’ve read some less enthusiastic reviews and think people may be too focused on the Marriott brand chosen for this hotel. It’s not as opulent as a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton—or even a JW. An Autograph Collection might have been a better fit. The room decor was tidy and simple, similar to any Marriott or Sheraton from the past decade.
