Impressions & Reflections on Nairobi 🌍

After a month in Tanzania, arriving in Nairobi felt like stepping into a cosmopolitan hub! 🏙️ 🌆 First Impressions Fashion & Vibe: People dress way more stylishly here than in Tanzania! 👗👔 Fewer Hassles: Almost no one randomly approaches you (unlike Tanzania). Shopping Galore: Malls have all the international brands—but prices are noticeably higher. 💸 (Tourist tax is real, though. 😅) 🗣️ Meeting Incredible People Every day, I found myself saying: "That’s so cool!" 🤩 A Nepali guy working for an NGO in South Sudan. German girls volunteering at a Ugandan school. An Australian midwife delivering babies in rural Kenya. A documentary filmmaker capturing African stories. Backpackers who’ve traveled 50+ countries—nightly convos blew my mind! 💡 Life truly has infinite possibilities. ✨ ❤️ The Most Inspiring Part? Everyone’s Doing Good! So many work for UN agencies, NGOs, or volunteer projects. A Brazilian lawyer I met (living my dream life! 🥹) works remotely while traveling. Her goal? Helping stray animals back home. 🐾 Others self-fund their volunteer trips—meanwhile, I’m over here like: "I want a Portuguese passport! I want to travel more!" 😂 Time to rethink how I can give back. 🤔 🛡️ Safety in Nairobi? Stayed in Westlands (wealthy area)—felt super safe even at night! Walked to bars with zero issues. 🍹 Many solo female travelers at my hostel explored by day without worries. Thursday nights at Street Kitchen? Pure joy—dancing with strangers like old friends! 💃🕺 #NairobiDiaries #TravelInspiration #GiveBack #KenyaVibes
