In Florence, your taste buds are also on a journey.
Before coming to Florence, I thought I would only be amazed by the Renaissance art. But it turns out that my stomach surrendered first! The surprise came from a restaurant with a long history—Acqua Al2. Their blueberry steak, with the sweetness of blueberries and the slight tang of balsamic vinegar perfectly blending with the beef, completely changed my impression of steak. And that classic tiramisu, with just the right amount of alcohol and sweetness, has rich layers and an endless aftertaste. There are fewer people for lunch, so you don't need to wait in line. The restaurant's decor is also a highlight, blending art and time together. Florence is not only the capital of art but also a paradise for taste. (The sweet affogato was bought from another store; those who don't like too much sweetness can avoid it.) 📍 Address: Via della Vigna Vecchia, 40r, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy 🏖️ Environment/Facilities: Quiet and cozy, a timeless old shop 💰 Average Cost per Person: €20-40 💞 Reason to Recommend: The blueberry steak is just too delicious, no other reason needed. The food from other stores was also above average for this European trip. Tartare (Beef Tartare) is raw minced beef, a local specialty. Those who are not afraid of raw meat can give it a try. Pasta al Pesto (Basil Pesto Pasta) is a bit salty. I suggest buying the sauce to adjust the taste at home. During this trip, I've tried yellow, red, and green pasta. I feel that freshly made Italian pasta has a good chewy texture. The red sauce is usually a bit tangy. The yellow sauce, called Carbonara, is slightly greasy but incredibly delicious and high in calories.
