In Vancouver!!! I ate something I'll miss for life... 😭
My sister and brother-in-law recommended this place before, saying they stumbled upon it randomly but the food was fresh, delicious, and affordable. Since my mom has always loved typhoon shelter-style dishes, we decided to come here for Mother's Day—and it was surprisingly good! 👉🏻 Pinyuexuan 👈🏻 We ordered a set meal which was great value, including: Cordyceps Flower Pork Bone Soup, Typhoon Shelter Lobster, Fried Rice, Steamed Fish, Baked Pork Belly, Stir-Fried Vegetables, and Sweet Soup. We also ordered extra: Imperial Chicken, Rice Noodle Rolls, and Phoenix Talons. ✨ Typhoon Shelter Lobster: Everyone in the family loved this, especially the fries 🍟🦞 I noticed every neighboring table ordered it too! ✨ Braised Pork Belly with Olive Vegetables: My absolute favorite—so fragrant it blew me away! The pork belly is mainly sweet, with (fat) bursting in your mouth when you bite in. It seems to be topped with olive vegetables. If you love fatty meat and sweet flavors, this is for you—but my parents weren't fans. ✨ Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli: Packed with wok hei (wok aroma), simple but delicious. ✨ Soup: The soup is sweet from red dates and savory from pork bones. I thought it was amazing, but my sister didn't like it—goes to show how different taste buds can be, even in the same family! ✨ Imperial Chicken: Smooth skin, tender meat, and mild in flavor. I loved that it wasn't as salty as at other places, but some might find it too subtle. 📍 Pinyuexuan Seafood Restaurant 8532 Granville St #VancouverFood #VancouverLife #VancouverRestaurantReview #EatPlayVancouver #WhatIEatToday #MyHiddenGems #VancouverChineseFood #Vancouver
