Indianapolis|One Day Food Tour 🍖🍜
Spent Thanksgiving Day in Indianapolis — only Asian restaurants were open, and these two were solid picks! 📍 Ma Ma’s Korean Restaurant A Korean BBQ spot with menus in both Korean and English. Got the Special Beef for grilling — the meat quality was really nice! 🥩 Bibimbap in stone pot was tasty too Dry-style cold noodles: First time trying this! Refreshing thanks to the pear 🍐, and the marinated pear was especially delicious. The meat in it was a bit too chewy though 😅… but overall highly recommended! They served 12 — yes, 12! — side dishes 😲 Highlights: bean sprouts (super fresh), savory dried tofu, braised sweet potatoes (soft and yummy 🍠), squid shreds (tasted like spicy strips 🌶️), and all the classic kimchi varieties. All were great! 📍 Tian Fu Asian Bistro A Chinese restaurant where you can see into the kitchen through a glass window 👨🍳👀 Dry Pot Fish: Highly recommend!! Spicy, aromatic, full of flavor 🐟✨. The bamboo shoots in it were especially amazing. Pan-Fried Pork Buns: So crispy outside, and filled with juicy meat inside — so good! Tofu Balls: Unique dish — fried tofu outside, filled with a mix of chicken and tofu (though I couldn’t really tell 😆). Still tasty! Chive Pancake: Just okay, not particularly memorable Sautéed Pork Kidney: Saw this recommended online… but honestly, it was still pretty gamey 🐷❌, and not very tender. Looked nice but didn’t suit my taste. Fun moment: Our server was super fun — he actually whispered that the soup dumplings were just average and not worth ordering 😂. Hope we see him again next time! Till next time, Indianapolis~ 👋 #WinterAndBBQ #MeatLovers #Indianapolis #IndyFood #FoodDiary #AsianFood
