📸 Indianapolis|Travel Diary in Indiana
When I first arrived in Indy, honestly, I didn’t have high expectations. On the way from the airport to the Airbnb, all I could see were endless fields of golden corn 🌽. Downtown had some construction going on, and my friend joked that it felt like a scene of "unfinished buildings" 🏗️. But since we were already here, we decided to give the city a chance—and it surprised us! 🤩 Indianapolis is a small, quiet, and laid-back city. Though not a famous tourist destination, the streets are clean, there aren’t many homeless people, and police officers 👮 and patrol cars 🚓 are everywhere downtown, making it feel safe. Perfect for solo female travelers who want to enjoy a relaxing city walk! (Personally, I think it’s much better than Seattle downtown 😉) Most major attractions are clustered together, so you can explore at a leisurely pace in just one day 📍. 🏛️ First Stop: Downtown Recommended Spots: Soldiers & Sailors Monument 🗽 Christ Church Cathedral ⛪ Indianapolis Artsgarden 🌸 Circle Center Mall 🛍️ Indiana State Capitol Building 🏛️ If you have extra time, check out University Park for some academic vibes 🎓. 🅿️ Parking: Blue Lot — $12 for the whole day! 🌊 Second Stop: Central Canal A beautiful canal walk with scenic views and attractions along both sides — so relaxing! 😌 Highlights: Indiana State Museum 🏛️ (don’t miss the Steam Clock outside — so cool! ⏰) Eiteljorg Museum 🪶 Totem Sculpture 🎨 🅿️ Parking: White River State Park — $3/hour 🐘 Bonus Recommendation: Indianapolis Zoo A massive zoo that also includes an aquarium! 🐠 Perfect for a full day of fun. #TravelWithCamera #CityIsABook #TravelDiary #FujiCamera #Indiana #Indianapolis #HiddenGems #USATravel #SafeTravels #SoloTravel 🌆📖✨
