indy｜A Cake Shop Perfect for Photos and Afternoon Tea 🍰📸

Hey everyone! Today I’m super excited to share this absolutely gorgeous cake shop I found in Indianapolis — seriously, it might be the most beautiful spot I’ve stumbled upon all year! 🎂✨ Since both bakeries in my town were fully booked for birthday orders (ugh 😅), I expanded my search to Indy and discovered this place: The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Carmel City Center. It’s located in a lovely pedestrian-friendly area in Carmel — so charming! 👣 They also have another branch down south. This one’s rated 4.5/5 with over 1,600 reviews — so you know it’s good! ✨ The decor… oh my goodness… it’s like something out of a fairytale! 🧚‍♀️🏰 Even though the weather was meh that day ☁️, the inside was warm, cozy, and totally inviting! The staff were also incredibly sweet and attentive — big plus! 💖 We booked an afternoon tea at 3 PM ☕🕒, and since it wasn’t too busy, we got to pick a cute table by the window — yay! 😊 Alright… let’s get to the CAKES! 🎂 One word: SWEET. And I mean American-sweet… like, sugar-rush-in-every-bite sweet 😆. So my advice: don’t go overboard — one slice is plenty! We ordered the Red Velvet and a Lemon Tart 🍋🧁, and let me tell you… you’re gonna need a drink with these. We got a pot of Breakfast Tea which was lovely and helped cut through the sweetness. We also tried a cocktail called “Look Through the Glasses” 🍸… and guess what? It was sweet too! 😂 By the end, I was basically running on tea and willpower — sugar crash was real! So yeahhh — that’s the tea ! This place is gorgeous, photogenic 📸, perfect for afternoon tea… but come prepared for the sweetness!
