Introduction to Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park 🌸
🌺🌿The park is divided into two sections: River Plains and Pond Gardens. 🌺🌿 By following the park's pedestrian path and crossing the road, you can reach Pond Gardens. 🌺🌿However, due to ongoing road works, you need to take a detour to cross the road. 🌺🌿 We walked along the road next to the housing blocks, climbed up a pedestrian bridge, and found signage near the Thomson Community Centre. 🌴🍃After completing our walk in Pond Gardens, we arrived at the intersection on the other side of the park, with the Lower Peirce Reservoir just ahead. 🌴🍃To get there, we had to walk a short distance along the road, where we encountered a family of monkeys occupying the road, playing, eating, and frolicking, having a great time. 🌴🍃The Lower Peirce Reservoir is Singapore's second reservoir, originally named the Kallang River Reservoir. 🌴🍃It was officially opened in 1912 and renamed Peirce Reservoir in 1922 in honor of Robert Peirce, an engineer who contributed to Singapore's urban planning in the early 20th century. 🌴🍃We walked along the trail beside the reservoir until we reached the exit on the upper section of Thomson Road, where there is a bus stop. 🌴🍃 The journey wasn't too far, about 20 minutes, with some slight uphill sections, but it wasn't too challenging ✌️. #BishanPark #UpperPeirceReservoirSingapore #ParkWalk
