Irish Travel - Rock of Cashel
The Rock of Cashel is one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks, nestled in County Tipperary, Ireland. Also known as “St. Patrick’s Rock,” it was once a symbol of power for the kings of Ireland. 🏰✨ Legend has it that St. Patrick converted a king to Christianity here. Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved medieval site, boasting a cathedral, round tower, high crosses, and other historical buildings, many of which date back to the 12th century. 📜⛪️ Admission tickets can be purchased on-site at a very reasonable price. Students, I highly recommend getting a Heritage Card for just 10 euros. With the Heritage Card, you get unlimited access to all OPW-managed sites, including numerous castles, churches, and parks. You can get this card directly at the sites or apply online for postal delivery. 🎫🎓 In the town, there’s also an amazing ice cream shop that sells breakfast and coffee – definitely don’t miss it! The place is called Grogan’s Café and Ice Cream Parlour. 🍨☕️🥐 #IrishTravel #Travel #OffTheBeatenPath
