Is NYC's Vessel Worth the Climb? 🌆
Five years ago, Vessel was free to visit—though it required advance reservations. Back then, I missed my chance to climb due to a sudden snow closure. After a series of unfortunate incidents, the structure was shut down for a long period before reopening last year with new safety measures, including protective netting and an admission fee.🎶 Now, tickets cost $10 (actually $13.07 with fees), with a 20% discount for Edge ticket holders. You can buy tickets on-site, and these days the crowds are relatively light.😊 Only about a quarter of the structure is accessible to visitors now, with the rest blocked off. Even so, you can climb to the top and back down in about 30 minutes. The view from the top isn’t particularly special—mostly you look inward at the structure itself, and photography opportunities are limited due to the safety nets.🤣 Overall, unless you’re especially curious about Vessel’s design or history, you might be satisfied with admiring it from the ground and taking photos from below. For most visitors, the experience of walking around its base and capturing its unique geometry is enough. 📍 Vessel at Hudson Yards, NYC 🎫 Ticket: $10 + fees → $13.07 total ⏳ Visit time: ~30 min 📸 Best for: Architecture fans, quick visit #NYC #Vessel #Architecture #NYCtravel #HudsonYards #NYCviews #TravelTips #NYClife
