Is the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka Worth It? Route Recommendation

The answer is: Definitely worth it for Hayao Miyazaki fans and those studying fine arts and animation! 🌿😻 It’s also highly recommended for families with kids. The museum features animation manuscripts and interactive machines (a paradise for detail enthusiasts) that let you experience the creative process behind Ghibli’s masterpieces. 👍 Mitaka City is beautiful, and the park next to the museum is stunning as well. 🌿😻 🎭✨ No photography is allowed inside, but the café serves delicious coffee. ☕️ You can see replicas of the studio’s creative spaces, and even the desk with a copy of Journey to the West made me pause and reflect on how amazing Chinese animation once was. 🌿😻 Half a day is plenty of time. Plan for 2-3 hours to explore the museum, and then enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful park on your way to the station. I recommend taking the JC Line to Kichijoji Station, which is an 18-minute walk or a 30 RMB taxi ride. 🎭✨ No tickets are sold on-site at the museum, so you must book in advance on the official website. 🌿😻 I ended up buying mine online at a higher price because I couldn’t get one through the official channels, but it was worth the time, effort, and peace of mind! The actual ticket price is only 1000 yen. 🎭✨ I also bought some adorable Ghibli merchandise to take home. Check out the last photo! 🌟 #MitakaGhibliMuseum 🎭✨
