Is the Michelin One-Star Chef’s Fried Chicken in Paris Worth It?
🍹I visited the fried chicken restaurant by Mori Sacko, a rising star among French chefs. Mori Sacko, who once worked at Le Meurice under Alain Ducasse, earned a Michelin star for his restaurant MoSuke just weeks after it opened (the kind of plot you’d see in Emily in Paris). Chef Sacko, an Afro-French chef with a passion for Japanese culture, creates dishes that blend three different cultures. 🍹As a language enthusiast, I was most intrigued by the chef’s own invented alphabet, which seems to combine Arabic and Japanese elements but has 26 letters. Paris truly is a city of arts and culture—even a fried chicken joint has its own script. 🍹The waffle was a bit too sour for my taste, prompting me to nervously ask the waiter if the batter had gone bad. I was relieved to learn it was made with fermented milk, giving it a North African flair. There was a small hiccup earlier: the cola was poured from a 2L bottle at the bar in front of us, rather than being opened from a glass bottle, which made me question the freshness of the waffle. 🍹The fried chicken was decent but unremarkable, while the fries were pretty good. 🍹The combination of fried chicken and waffles (€13.50) is a bit light, though it’s filling for a girl. The full set with fries costs €20, and it feels like you’re paying for the ambiance. The restaurant’s decor resembles that of a place with an average price range of €30-50. Perhaps that’s why, despite being a fried chicken spot, most patrons are couples on dates. #food #ParisianLife #FrenchCuisine #NoOneCanResistFriedChicken #StudentFoodAdventures
