Isfahan’s Treasures: Imam Square, Mosque & Ali Qapu Palace
🍷 Alcohol-Free Struggles: Three days in Iran without a real drink—only zero-alcohol beer at meals. Might as well call this a detox trip! 😭 🌍 Imam Square (Naqsh-e Jahan) Once called "King’s Square" (or "Half the World"), this UNESCO site was Shah Abbas’s playground for military parades and polo matches in the Safavid era. 🕌 Imam Mosque (South Side) The crown jewel of Persian mosque architecture, facing Mecca. Its deep-blue tiles and perfect acoustics left me speechless. 🏰 Ali Qapu Palace Shah Abbas’s 16th-century residence. The 2nd-floor terrace was his VIP box for reviewing troops. ❌ Chehel Sotoun (40 Columns Palace) Counted the columns: only 20 (the rest are water reflections). Skipped—not photogenic enough! #IranTravel #Isfahan #SoberAdventures
