It’s great everywhere, but I wouldn’t recommend bringing a dog here.

**A Must-Visit in Florence: The Mercato Centrale** We finally made it to the Mercato Centrale in Florence, and it’s no wonder that everyone on XHS recommends it! The food here is truly amazing, especially for those who love Italian cuisine. 🥩 **Steak: 30+ euros** The first stall inside offers steak. We ordered a mixed grill, medium-rare. It came with a sausage, a burger patty, and two pieces of steak—all incredibly tender! Since there were only two of us, we didn’t go for the T-bone steak. When you order, they’ll ask if you want sides like potatoes or salad. I didn’t add any. The first item on the menu (see photo 5) is the famous Florentine steak at 49 euros per kilogram—it’s not overpriced at all. 🍝 **Black Truffle Pasta: 22 euros** Further inside, there’s a stall specializing in black truffle dishes. Their signature classic black truffle cream pasta is a must-try. Make sure to eat it right after it’s served, or the cheese will stick everything together. 🥖 **Truffle Appetizers: 15 euros for 3 pieces** These were amazing! I’m not sure what they’re called, but they’re like little snacks on baguette slices topped with foie gras, ham, and black truffle. I’d recommend avoiding the ones with cheese—they can be a bit too rich. The one with a generous layer of foie gras and salami on top is absolutely divine! Overall, this place is highly recommended. There are also delicious items like tripe sandwiches and panini. It feels like a food court, and you can try a little bit of everything. The average cost per person is around 30 euros. The three dishes we ordered were all a bit salty, so make sure to buy some water in advance. 📍 **Name:** Mercato Centrale 🏨 **Address:** Piazza del Mercato Centrale, 50123 Firenze FI 💶 **Average Cost:** 30+ euros #Florence #StudyingInItaly #FlorenceCuisine #MercatoCentrale #FlorenceItaly #ItalianTravel #ItalianFood #BlackTruffle #Steak
