Camellia Grill is a long-standing establishment. The old-fashioned diner has a friendly atmosphere, though the cashier seemed indifferent about whether customers were served or not. Our server, however, was incredibly warm and welcoming when we found two seats at the long curved counter. The corner of the counter was a bit cramped β I bumped elbows with the person next to me a few times! π I ordered the gumbo with a scoop of rice, while Yo got the pecan waffles, and we shared both. The gumbo was exactly as I hoped β a big, comforting bowl of warmth and flavor. π² The pecan waffles were crispy and delicious! I loved the melted butter on top, and it was my first time trying cane syrup β what a sweet, rich treat! π§π― This spot is perfect for a full meal or just a snack. It seems like a lot of locals are regulars here, which always speaks volumes.
