It turns out stars always visit this upscale restaurant!
When it comes to high-end Chinese restaurants in the heart of London on Baker Street, the Bright Courtyard Chinese Fine Cuisine is a place where countless celebrities have come to check in. The deepest impression I have is of an entire wall covered with celebrity photos. It feels like this might be the Chinese restaurant with the most star visits, right? Hahaha🤩~ I came to explore the restaurant again today to share some delicious food: Starters: 🐟 Marinated Salmon Salmon is already delicious, and the marinated preparation further enhances its texture. The sweet and sour seasoning is just right, making it a nice cold dish with Chinese flavors👍. 🌱 Wasabi Kelp This dish is quite special with a slight nose-tingling wasabi sensation paired with the crispiness of seaweed. 🥟 Dim Sum Platter Each dim sum is made with thin skin and a generous filling, showcasing the delicacy of handcrafted pieces. A steamer with 6 pieces is just the right amount. 🔥 Main Course: Goose Liver Scallops This was my first time ordering it, and the goose liver and scallops are seared to a golden crust while remaining tender inside. The richness of the goose liver pairs beautifully with the texture of the scallops, creating a dish with rich layers. The presentation of this dish is also very appealing~ 🥣 Soup: Pepper Clear Soup with Beef Brisket and Radish So delicious! The beef brisket is stewed to tenderness, and the radish absorbs all the beef essence. The clear soup with a hint of pepper is perfect for London’s rainy and humid climate. It really warms you up from the inside out. 🍆 Vegetarian Dish: Minced Meat Eggplant Eggplant is a common ingredient in Chinese cuisine, but the Bright Courtyard’s version with minced meat is particularly distinctive. The eggplant is crispy outside and tender inside, stir-fried with a rich meat sauce, making it very appetizing with rice. 🫖 Tea Pairing: Bai Mu Dan, Mi Lan Xiang, Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong We tried three types of tea, each paired with great care, complementing the flavors of the dishes. My favorites are Mi Lan Xiang and Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong. Mi Lan Xiang is an Oolong tea from Chaozhou, Guangdong, with a rich fruity aroma and a clear tea broth. The sweetness of Mi Lan Xiang pairs wonderfully with the fragrance of the seared goose liver scallops, offering a refreshing fruitiness and the natural sweetness of the tea with each sip. It doesn’t overpower the flavors but instead enhances the sensory experience. Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong is a black tea from Wuyi Mountain in Fujian, with a rich tea broth and a unique smoky aroma, leaving a sweet aftertaste. A sip fills the mouth with smoke, effectively cutting through the richness and leaving a comfortable aftertaste after the meal. This restaurant is definitely my top choice for high-end Chinese cuisine. Every dish is delicious. The profound Chinese tea culture, combined with the carefully paired tea, elevates the entire dining experience. The dining atmosphere and the attention to detail with the exquisite tableware are also top-notch. #LondonFood #London #LondonHotPot #BrightCourtyard #Chinatown #BritishCuisine #FishMawChicken #BeefBrisketRadish #SaltedEggYolkLobster
