Italy | 2 Days in Florence: A Perfect Route with No Backtracking!
š First Stop: Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Exterior Visit is Enough) Tickets to climb the dome are quite popular and need to be booked online in advance. However, since many churches in Europe offer dome climbsāmainly for city viewsāit can feel repetitive after a while, so we skipped it. We bought a combo ticket that included the crypt, the baptistery, and the museum. This allowed us to enter the cathedral directly through the crypt, saving us waiting in line. š Second Stop: Mercato Centrale This is a bustling food market with huge crowds. Seating is limited, so be prepared to grab a spot quickly! š Third Stop: Accademia Gallery The gallery is not very large, and its main highlight is Michelangeloās David statue. As someone not well-versed in art, seeing David and taking a quick stroll through the rest was enough for meāI just took a few photos at the entrance! The funniest part was seeing postcards for sale featuring Davidās "eggs" š„š„. š Fourth Stop: Uffizi Gallery You canāt miss the Uffizi Gallery when in Florence! Unfortunately, it was already closed when we arrived in the afternoon. šš Remember to go earlyādonāt show up at 5:30 PM like we did! We got there just as it was closing. š Fifth Stop: Ponte Vecchio Visit the filming location of Jay Chouās "What Kind of Man" MV. There are also many bars near the bridge where you can enjoy a drink! Not far away, thereās a carouselāperfect for photos! Donāt forget to check it out. Day 2 š Sixth Stop: Leaning Tower of Pisa It was super crowded! Lots of people were taking photos on the stone steps. We had to wait our turn for pictures šš¤£. š Seventh Stop: Pisa Beach On the way to the beach from Pisa, make sure to buy your bus ticket in advance! While we were waiting to purchase tickets, the bus arrived, and we hopped on directly. It was so crowded that we didnāt validate our ticketsāand we got fined! š 40 euros per person! They are very strict. Always buy your ticket ahead of time. If you pay by credit card, make sure to take a photo of your payment record as proof! This route is checked daily, and inspections are especially strict. š Eighth Stop: Piazzale Michelangelo A great spot to watch the sunset! But be sure to plan your time wisely. We missed the sunset because we couldnāt get a taxi and missed the bus. The square is lively and vibrantāyou can buy a beer, sit down, and enjoy the night view. Itās a unique experience. ā Important Tips: Itās best to choose accommodation near the train station (Florence Santa Maria Novella). Most attractions are located in this area, making it very convenient for getting around. It also saves you the trouble of storing luggage. Our hotel was nearby, and we mainly traveled on foot or by bus. #TravelItaly #Europe #LifeInItaly #ItalyTravel #Italy #2DaysInItaly #Florence #Michelangelo #LeaningTowerOfPisa #JayChouMVLocation
