Italy | Venice's Hidden Gem for Decorative Arts 🎨
👼 The museum is called Museo di Palazzo Grimani. During my decorative techniques course at the Venice Academy, our professor took us on a special trip to this museum, which was once a palace owned by the rulers of Venice. The museum's entrance is tucked away in a small alley, and you might easily miss it if you're not paying attention. 👀 👼 This palace is filled with an abundance of decorative arts! The ceiling frescoes have wonderfully chosen colors, and each figure painting is unique. Every room has a different theme, and if you look closely, you'll find that even the mosaic tiles in the fireplaces display different landscapes. The level of decoration is incredibly high! 🖌️ 👼 The museum also features sculptures, especially in the last room where there are numerous sculptures on display. In the center, hanging from the ceiling, is an angel sculpture, making the entire room incredibly beautiful. The museum is a masterclass in decorative techniques! 🏛️ 👼 If you're visiting Venice, I highly recommend checking it out! There are several floors inside, showcasing modern paintings and sculptures. The museum is not small, and because it's a bit off the beaten path, you can easily buy tickets on-site. European student cards offer a discount, though it's not a significant one. 🎫 #Europe #Italy #Museum #Art #MustVisitMuseum #HiddenGem #Venice
