Italy's Verona Cliffside Church

❣️Italy's Cliffside Church: Madama della Corona 🧐After watching an opera in Verona, we set off early the next morning by car to the cliffside church. The history of the church dates back to around the year 1000 when monks were active here, and the first monastery was built in the 13th century. Subsequent wars, reconstructions, and expansions have led to its current scale. 🧩The best way to get to the church is to drive to the nearest small town to the church. The scenery along the way is very beautiful, with vineyards all the way from Verona. (Be careful not to drive into the fields; it's too costly to compensate.) 🥹After parking the car in the small town, you can walk to the church. There are two routes: one is a gentler winding mountain road, and the other is a path full of steps, which seems to have about 1500 steps. It is suggested that on the way to the church, you can walk along the main road, where there are many bronze statues, and at the corner, you can take a panoramic photo of the church. You can return directly by the steps on the way back. 👍The interior of the church is quite special, simple and unadorned, but it uses the entire rock as a backdrop wall. Even after visiting so many churches in Italy, this one stands out both in location and design. 🌹As it is also a pilgrimage chapel, arms and shoulders are not allowed to be exposed, and super short skirts, etc. If you're afraid of the heat, you can bring a shawl. #Hidden Travel Destinations #Italian Travel #Italian Life #Scenery on the Cliffs #Unique Travel Spots #Happiness of Summer #Travel Diary
