🌄 Japan | The Great Compassion Temple on the Cliff 🏮

New Year's family trip to Hiroshima for three days ✈️ If you've been to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Hokkaido, Okinawa... And you want to see a purer and quieter side of Japan—this is truly a great choice! Hiroshima is part of Japan's "Chugoku Region," located to the west of Osaka, north of Shikoku, east of Kyushu, and along the Seto Inland Sea. Day 1 🛫 Haneda — Hiroshima Airport — Miyajima — Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome in the city — Stay near Hiroshima Station (lots of delicious food 😋) Day 2 🏞️ Shrinkage Garden — Takehara Old Town — Okunoshima 🐰 (Rabbit Island) — Stay in Fukuyama Day 3 🌅 Fukuyama Tomonoura — Fudou Aizen On-tai-ji — Onomichi Senkoji — SweetHome 🌊 The final day of our three-day trip in Hiroshima~ We explored Fukuyama City in earnest. 🌊 Known as the hometown of Ponyo on the cliff — Tomonoura, An ordinary seaside port with narrow roads that are even difficult for vehicles to pass each other, exuding simplicity and leisure. No hustle and bustle of tourist areas, there's a dessert shop by the port that must be the signature food! Fishing boats are quietly moored, and waves crash against the shore. Can't help but stop and savor the salty sea breeze~ 🏮 After a brief stop, we headed to Fudou Aizen On-tai-ji, about a 15-minute drive away. It's also like a temple on the cliff that Hayao Miyazaki might have envisioned, similar to the oil house. The entrance is unremarkable, but after climbing the stairs, it suddenly opens up. A path leading to the sea 🌊 Looking through the red and green temple buildings at the dazzling sunlight on the sea, The three-sided cliffs are truly stunning~ This is a good place to pray for childbirth, safe delivery, and safe voyages at sea~ I also got a red talisman for a friend's childbirth ♥️ ⛰️ Due to a minor incident on the day, we couldn't stop at Onomichi on our way back to Hiroshima Airport—planned to take a serious look at the mountain city. Only caught a few glances from the highway, Senkoji and the cat walkway, Hope you won't miss them when you come~ 🍜🍻🍱🍢 Food tip: Look up in advance a family restaurant called Jiyushin, which was closed for the New Year. It's a small, local favorite! Stumbled into a crowded izakaya 🈵 The taste was great! The atmosphere was excellent~ There are also many food options in the nearby food street! Travel always has surprises, accidents, and regrets. But enjoy the rare time traveling with family, Believe that everything is the best arrangement ♥️ #Japan #JapanTravel #Hiroshima #OffTheBeatenPath #TravelTips #HiroshimaFood #Fukuyama #Afutu #SpiritedAway #YuBaba #SafeDeliveryTalisman
