Japan Cherry Blossom Season(1)πΈπ
Mitsui Temple & Lake Biwa Canal for Just 600 Yen During the autumn leaves season, I visited many temples in Kyoto. πΏπ The red leaves were stunning, but the crowds were overwhelming. πΈπThe streets were packed with people, which made the experience less enjoyable. π’ However, the area around Lake Biwa is much less crowded, and it's quite convenient to get there from Osaka in just over an hour. π Before heading out, I consulted with the hotel front desk clerk, an amiable woman from the Tohoku region. πΏπ She told me that locals love to vacation around Lake Biwa and that you could even buy a detached house there for around 200,000 yen! π‘ The temple is quite large and located on a hill. The short hike up the mountain offers beautiful scenery. πΏπ The Moon-Viewing Stage, which requires a reservation, is just as amazing as the famous Rurikoin Temple. Even without paying, you can still capture some great views around the pavilion. The 600-yen admission fee is definitely a steal! π During cherry blossom season, the temple also offers a night cherry blossom viewing event. πΏπ But during the day, you can freely take photos of the cherry blossoms reflecting in the water, similar to the scenes at Rurikoin Temple. πΈ #Japan #CherryBlossoms πΈπ
