Japan Travel Guide | A Day Trip to Kamakura 🌊
If your main destination in Japan is Tokyo and its surroundings, Kamakura is a must-visit. 🌊 There are generally two ways to get to Kamakura from Tokyo: One is to travel from Shinjuku/Shibuya to Fujisawa Station and explore from west to east; the other is to go from Tokyo/Shinagawa to Kamakura Station and explore from east to west. I personally recommend starting from Kamakura Station and taking the Enoden (Enoshima Electric Railway) for a day trip in Kamakura. 1️⃣ Kamakura Station After arriving, purchase the Enoden One-Day Pass immediately. It pays for itself after just three rides and is a great deal. 🌊 You can buy it at the West Exit of Kamakura Station, but you'll need to exit the station to do so. 🌟 Komachi-dori Shopping Street After getting your pass, I suggest heading back to the East Exit of Kamakura Station to start your culinary adventure. 🌊 This street is packed with snacks and delicious food—definitely a must-visit for foodies! 🍔 🌟 Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine Located at the end of Komachi-dori, this is a famous shrine and a great place to visit. 2️⃣ Hase Station 🌟 Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha) Admission is 300 yen. You can go inside the Great Buddha, and for an additional 50 yen paid at the entrance, you can explore the area around the statue. 🧭 #Kamakura 🌟
