๐ฎ Japanese Ancient Town - A Day Trip to Kurashiki Bikan ๐ฎ
Visiting the Kansai region and tired of the bustling crowds in Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe? Besides exploring south to Wakayama, taking a train to the west of Kansai is also a great choice! Today, I'm sharing with you a lesser-known gem in the western part of KansaiโKurashiki Bikan ๐ Before going, I learned that Kurashiki Bikan is a Japanese ancient town with nearly 400 years of history. I thought it would be similar to Kyoto, but after visiting, I found the styles to be completely different! ๐คฃ Kurashiki Bikan is known for its white-walled warehouses, tile ridges, and willow tree-lined streets. The entire area is filled with old residences of big families from modern times that have become cultural heritage sites. The streets formed by these nearly 400-year-old traditional buildings, combined with the retro-modern scenery by the Kurashiki River, truly captivated me as a tourist! ๐คฉ ๐ Kurashiki Bikan Area ๐ Kurashiki Station ๐ It's recommended to stay in Okayama, where hotels offer a high cost-performance ratio, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options. (It's only a 17-minute trip from Okayama Station to Kurashiki Station) ๐ค Kurashiki's specialty is denim and canvas products. There are shops selling denim and canvas products along the Kurashiki River, as well as various old houses turned into cafes, making it easy to spend an afternoon leisurely shopping ๐ ๐ถ Kurashiki River Cruise Ticket location ๐ Kurashikikan Tourist Information Center Price ๐ฐ Adults 500, Children 250 Operating hours ๐ฐ 9:30-17:00 ๐ Ohara Museum of Art (Established in 1930, it is Japan's earliest private museum centered on Western art) Price ๐ฐ 2000 #MostBeautifulAncientTownGuide #MyOffTheBeatenPathTravelGuide #TravelDiary #Travel #MobilePhotography #JapaneseStyle #Japan #KansaiTravel #Kurashiki #KurashikiBikanArea #Okayama #KurashikiDenim #KurashikiCanvas #JapanOffTheBeatenPathTravel
