Japanese-Inspired Dining in Philly | Double Knot 🍣

Calling it Japanese is a bit of a stretch—feels more like Asian fusion. Didn’t see many Asian diners, but it’s definitely popular. We went on a Sunday at 5 PM and there was already a line—stayed busy the whole time! ✨ Big plus: the ambiance is amazing! Unassuming from the outside, but inside the lighting and decor are beautiful—great for dates or special occasions. 1️⃣ Tuna Tartare – Tasted like a tuna poke bowl. One of the best dishes of the meal! 2️⃣ Kobe Beef Skewers – Pretty good, very fatty. Ours might’ve been overcooked though—a bit bitter. 3️⃣ Wild Mushroom Gyoza – Miss for us. Strange, slightly sour flavor—only had one. 4️⃣ Boiled Seabass – Tasted more like roasted fish—crispy skin, creamy flesh. Quite nice! 5️⃣ Japanese Fried Chicken – A favorite! Huge portion for a side—crispy and satisfying. 6️⃣ Cod Fried Rice – Pretty bland despite lots of cod. Not a standout. 7️⃣ Lychee Mochi – The outer mochi wasn’t great (Trader Joe’s is better), but the lychee ice cream inside was delicious. Overall: Ambiance: 5/5 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Worth trying during happy hour if there’s no wait! #PhillyEats #AsianFusion #DoubleKnot #DateNight #FoodReview #PhillyFood #HappyHourVibes
