Jincook😭 The Best Tteokbokki I've Ever Had in My Life
The most recommended restaurant from the comments on my last post! I came here and was blown away. It's more like a creative take on Korean cuisine, with a menu (p6) full of unique options you won't find at other Korean places.✨ ✨Rose Tteokbokki Spicy Creamy Tteokbokki. The creaminess is super rich, but it's not greasy at all—it's so aromatic! The spiciness is perfectly balanced by the cream, making it not too hot. The dish includes sausage, bacon, and cabbage, all of which blend together beautifully. No waste of ingredients here! We didn't add ramen noodles... but seeing the noodles at the next table, I can only imagine how delicious it would be. ✨Sweet Pumpkin Cheese Curry Katsu Curry Pumpkin Pork Cutlet Rice. It's not as exaggerated as some posts claim, but the sweet pumpkin puree inside the fried pork cutlet is quite creative. Those bites with the pumpkin flavor are really good, though it might feel a bit ordinary if you're not a big fan of fried cutlets or curry. Still, it's an interesting dish worth trying. ✨BBQ Beef Rib Just average. This is a pretty standard dish, and compared to others, it's nothing special. The meat has a lot of sinew, making it a bit tough to chew. The flavor is normal, and it might vary depending on the quality of the meat selected each day. ✨Marinated Dumpling Creative dumplings shaped like bricks🧱, with glass noodles as the main ingredient in the filling. Whether you'll like it depends a lot on personal taste... I found it pretty good with a hint of sweetness, though it also had a bit of that nostalgic flavor from the vegetable market cabbage and glass noodle buns from my childhood. 📍 Jincook, Santa Monica #KoreanCuisine #Tteokbokki #LosAngelesFood #LA #KoreanFood #SpicyTteokbokki #KoreanDiningRecommendations #LosAngelesCafeHopping #HiddenGems
