Just Had the Best Meal I’ve Ever Eaten in the US — In Los Angeles! 🥘

When planning my LA food trip, everyone said: Choose Korean, Japanese, or Southeast Asian over Chinese to avoid disappointment. So I went with the most famous spot in Koreatown – Sun Nong Dan! After all, a friend even spotted Jackson Wang here late at night!! 👏🏻 Verdict first: This was seriously the BEST meal of my 10+ days in the US!! A carnivore’s heaven!! 🥘 What We Ordered: If it’s your first time, go straight for No. 24 – Braised Beef Short Ribs with Cheese!! The beef ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, incredibly juicy, savory with a touch of sweetness – absolutely stole my heart!! The potatoes and rice cakes soaked up all the flavor too. 🔥 Key Tips: 1️⃣ ADD EXTRA CHEESE if you love cheese!! The cheese portion is insane – you could fill up on cheese alone. Plus, a server will come tableside and flambé it with a torch for five minutes (even the next table was filming our “fire show” 🔥). 2️⃣ Don’t overorder! Three people can easily share a medium size. We ordered large + a soup and had tons leftover. (Large is better for 4–5 people.) 🍲 No.1 Beef Soup (Galbitang) We ordered this for something lighter – and it truly had not a drop of oil. Generous slices of beef with noodles underneath – a clean, comforting soup. 🥬 Side Dishes The kimchi and banchan served while waiting were already so tasty – my hungry colleague ate half a bowl of rice just with the sides! 📍 Sun Nong Dan 3470 W 6th St #7, Los Angeles, CA 90020 💰 ~$50 per person (we paid ~$170 for three incl. tip) #FoodDiary #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #KoreatownLA #LAKoreanFood #LAFoodie #BestMealEver
