Kagoshima's Sengan-en Garden ๐บ
This beautiful garden, established in 1658, was one of the residences of the Shimazu clan. ๐ข๐ It is renowned for its unique "borrowed scenery" technique and rich historical background. ๐ฟ ๐The courtyard๐กwas designed with inspiration from the Afang Palace, while the residence itself is a fusion of Japanese, Chinese, and Western architectural styles. At the heart of the villa lies an elegant Japanese courtyard, with a pond surrounded by plants in shades of red and green, complemented by stone lanterns. ๐ข Every step along the colonnade or a seat on the carpet allows you to feel the beauty of the changing seasons within the garden. ๐ธ In 2015, Sengan-en was inscribed as part of the "Meiji Industrial Revolution Heritage" on the UNESCO World Heritage List. ๐ ๐ข๐ #Kagoshima ๐
